Brian Chander

I am an editor and post-production supervisor based in Los Angeles, raised in San Diego, and trained at Emerson College in Boston.

I came up making my own short films, learning every role on a set so I could understand what each chair needed from the others. That instinct followed me into the cutting room, where I have spent the last three years moving from junior editor to post-production supervisor on a televised real estate series, overseeing over one hundred episodes from media ingest to broadcast delivery.

Most recently I supported the editorial team on James Gray's feature Paper Tiger, slated for the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. Between feature post, short films I direct, and documentary work, the through-line is the same: prioritize the performance, edit picture with sound, and stay polished at every stage because as an editor you are always presenting.

Off the clock you can find me cooking, hiking around Griffith Park, and chasing the next great cinema I haven't seen yet.
